Have you watched Chef's Table on Netflix?! If you haven't already, you must!!
Its an exquisite journey into the lives of six world renowned international chefs' who have already made an impact in the culinary art with their own unique way. And so the series is divided into six episodes each delves into a chef's kitchen and life, letting us see their creative process, what drives them to be excellent at what they do, the passion they bring to the table(literally).
Chef's Table shows us different ways of serving food at a restaurant that usually do not have a set menu and the Chef decides what will be served that day depending on what is freshly available in season or whom they are serving, what kind of a palate the guest has tried earlier at their restaurant and how they can change it up today or to put in the Italian chef Massimo Bottura's words "Lets serve something provocative!"
My favorite chefs from the season has to be Francis Mallman who owns El Restaurante Patagonia Sur in Buenos Aires, Argentina for the authority he has over his craft and how driven he is towards putting the very best on the table and also the bohemian, unapologetic way he leads life without having a facade for public . Come to think of it all the chefs displayed these common traits of hard-work and dedication but personally you connect with some chef over others. Similarly, a close second would be Ben Shewry from Attica, Australia who is on the other side of the spectrum with very strong family values and dedication with a never give up attitude.
Special mention has to be given to the sharp editing and the music in the background from the title sequence of the series . If you are wondering what is that captivating song here it is...Vivaldi - Four Seasons (Winter)..
