Midnight in Paris

On my way back to the US from India, two kids in tow, 6 and 1 years, I had given up hope on finding any quite time to myself, let alone exploring the flight entertainment. Then.. nothing less than a miracle happened.....both the kids were sound asleep and I was awake! I decided to make the most of this precious time and started surfing through the movie section when this title caught my eye. Honestly I could have watched any movie which promised a visual treat of Paris but the stars had aligned for me, it was a Woody Allen movie!

The next two hours felt like an other worldly experience, like I was actually there with the characters, experiencing all the grandeur that Paris had to offer. Without giving away too much of the plot, I loved how seamless the time travel was and what a beautiful time it must have been to live in those periods and hang out with geniuses like Ernest Hemingway, Picasso, Zelda Fitzgerald and more.  Owen Wilson fit the part perfectly. I walked away feeling informed about the rich history of Paris and how nostalgia is always romantic at any given point in life and at any period of time. So go on.... live this moment to the fullest!

Have you been watching any movies? Has any of the movies caught your imagination? I would love to hear.... let me know in the comments below.
