TEDTalks Amy Cuddy

I instantly connected with this TED Talk because growing up in a huge joint family I constantly observed it was always a game of power dynamics. It does not matter how competent you are . What does matter is your ability to prove to the opposite person that you are indeed stronger than them and your point of strength can come from your opponent's weakness/display of weakness, apart from many other variables of course. There are good times too, plenty of them actually, but to get to the good times there needs to be hierarchy and structure otherwise it is pure chaos.

Everyone has moments where you feel helpless and weak and there needs to be a way out, to come out of that cycle of feeling worthless and having no impact. Change always has to come internally first, when you truly believe and internalize the change you want to see, you will send out signals about who you have become. The high power poses she talks about really nailed it for me. I strongly believe that through tiny tweaks come big changes. Change is always a good thing even though it may not be apparent at the get go. So go on 'Fake it till you become it' and let me know if the power poses helped you.
