30 Days of Yoga Callenge

I was a YMCA member for over an year after moving to California and the only reason I stuck around was because I loved the yoga class. I could make it to the class on a weekly once basis, taking the time out of my schedule and practicing for over an hour in the class but just getting to the class and out of the class required about half an hour. I thoroughly enjoyed my practices and wished I could get myself to do it more often, but my mind found clever ways of finding a way out too. For me to practice yoga, I need to find a connection with the instructor, I have come to realize. Armed with this realization, I starting looking for ways I could practice yoga at the comfort of my home and I found Yoga with Adriene.

Adriene, the instructor has a soothing voice and her videos are nicely edited while she guides you through the practice with useful pointers. The 30 day challenge starts on a slow pace, designed for a beginner and gives options for each pose catering to everyone at different levels, finding what suits your body and what your body needs at that moment along the way. I found the practice to calm me for whatever the day has in-stored for me and appreciate the power of stretching my body and using my body's weight to tone muscles. Having finished the 30 days(with a brief break when we took off to Hawaii, in my defense I took the yoga mat and managed to practice a couple of days after which we were having internet connection troubles) I am trying to figure out a way to practice everyday, maybe do the challenge all over again or follow her other videos...I will update as I move ahead.

I highly recommend you give it a go and let me know in the comments below on how your practice has evolved.
